It is recommended that you begin memorizing Surah Al-Ahad, as it is the easiest Surah in the Quran, especially if you only plan to memorize a few. If your goal is to memorize the entire Quran in hifz course, it is advisable to start with the last part, which contains the shortest and simplest Surahs. You can create a list of Surahs based on their verse count or follow the order in the 30th Juz, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
It’s important to dedicate separate time for practicing Tajweed and translating each Surah to memorize effectively. If you encounter difficulty with a particular Surah, break it down into smaller chunks and focus on one chunk at a time. You can even divide a single verse into 2 to 4 phrases. The method you use to memorize the first Surah should be consistently applied throughout your memorization process.
