Surah Al-Baqara, the longest chapter of the Quran with 286 verses and 2.5 ajzaa, requires a well-structured memorization plan that spans 3-5 months for easy learning and retention. It is not recommended to rush through memorizing this Surah, as it contains a wide range of themes, numerous Tajweed rules to apply, and a depth of meaning that can be better understood through translation.
For a rigorous memorization schedule, one can aim to memorize Surah Al-Baqara in three months (90 days) by committing to learning 3-4 verses daily. Alternatively, if one prefers to memorize by page, half a page can be learned each day. Surah Al-Baqara consists of 52 pages in a 15-lined Mushaf, allowing for the completion of 52 pages in 104 days (3.5 months) by memorizing half a page daily.
It is advisable to approach memorization just by juz in your hifz course. Following this, a comprehensive revision of all juz will be done together for consolidation.
