The time it takes to memorize the Quran can vary from 6 months to 5 years. This depends on how easy it is for someone to learn and how much time they can spend each day. If you have a good memory and can dedicate 4-5 hours a day, you might be able to memorize the whole Quran in about 5-6 months. If you can spend 2-3 hours a day, it may take you around a year. For those who learn slowly or can only study a little each day, it could take 2 to 3 years.
The beginners, newly reverts, and older individuals may want to take a slower approach, which could take 4 years or more. It’s important to focus on Tajweed, which is the set of rules for reciting the Quran correctly, and to understand each Surah (chapter) as you learn. To become a hafiz, you should enroll in hifz classes and review your lessons daily, aiming for two to three times or even more, if possible.
